Overview.

Continuing on from our phenomenal success in completing the phase one works in just eight months, Curo Construction have now commenced seamlessly onto the second phase of the development, which comprises of the main works.

Started in December 2021 and completed in the spring of 2023 this 1,500,000 sq ft development includes a large scale cut and fill exercise, retaining walls and ground stabilisation, site wide drainage and infrastructure, and external works, to deliver two film studios, a workshop, and a multi-storey car park.

At its peak the team are expecting 280 lorry movements and approximately 550 tons of concrete per day, plus there will be up to 120 operatives on-site during the envelope and fit out stage. Multiple site entrances have been created to ensure that the site can cope with the volume of lorry movements and to mitigate disruption to the local community.

Curo Construction worked closely with the client and design teams to firm up programme, design and procurement strategies to release phases of work and secure materials as cost plans are finalised. It is this collaborative approach that will ensure the whole development, beyond Phase 2B, remains on track to be completed by the beginning of 2024, providing the UK with one of the worlds finest film and TV production centres; Cine Valley.
