This flagship project for Channing School was the construction of a Sixth Form and Sports Centre within the grounds of their live secondary school. Providing the school with a state of the art complex filled with multiple class rooms, library, teacher’s offices and ITC rooms, as well as sports facilities including a sports hall with retractable seating, gymnasium and changing rooms.
The building was arranged over three floors and constructed with a reinforced concrete superstructure to first floor and an exposed decorative steel portal frame to the upper floors. The envelope comprising of brickwork and solid timber framed glazed curtain walling, with bronze standing seam cladding to each gable end.
The high-quality finishes throughout the interior of the building has provided the school with a spectacular building for the future generations. This award wining project was completed to the highest standards and delivered much needed additional facilities for this ever-popular school.
