Curo Constructions continue to work with Channing School to further upgrade their ever-expanding facilities. This phase will provide new elements to the Junior School section of the development, with a new dining hall & kitchens, subterranean changing rooms, classrooms and external play areas with integrated landscaping.

The first phase of this scheme includes extensive enabling works

o allow for safe access into the school ground by forming a new entrance of the busy Highgate Hill. As the school will remain live during the construction, Curo have set up extensive separation and management structures to manage this interface.

The construction of each of the elements come with their own challenges. Deep excavations for the subterranean sections, temporary

and permanent support for the connection into the existing buildings for the dining hall, and challenging underpinning to insert the new class rooms beneath the current structure. The Curo site team, while rising  to these challenges, will complete the new buildings from reinforced concrete substructures, steel and CLT frames, matching brick work and glazing, as well as many other construction methods to complete the interiors.
