Curo Construction were awarded the contract by the landlord of 1 Finsbury Square to strip out and re-establish the 2nd floor commercial office space.

The design remit called for a refreshed, modern look and feel which was delivered throughout the floor area with particular attention to detail to the refurbishment of the WCs and kitchen.

The new scheme provides a spacious internal office area totalling 7650 sq ft including exposed services to the ceiling and breakout zones. The office floor plate was extended out into the lobby area providing an additional 250 sq ft of usable space. To avoid impeding the ground floor reception during the works our management team intuitively decided to suspend scaffold off the 1st floor beams providing safe access for our operatives and a clear, protected thoroughfare to the lift lobby from the entrance.

Working out of hours, so not to disrupt building users during the day we infilled a sizeable light well with a concrete slab providing the base for the new office entrance and reception fit out.

With an updated lighting layout and subtle finishes coupled together with views across Finsbury Square and down towards Moorgate this brand new office space will provide workers with a vibrant creative space to work from.
